Dhaka, Jan 27 (V7N) — Expatriate voters are taking part in the upcoming 13th National Assembly elections and referendum, with over 21,508 postal ballots already returned to Bangladesh, Election Commission sources said.

A total of 766,862 postal ballots for expatriates who registered through the Postal Vote BD mobile app have reached their respective destination countries, while 493,920 expatriates have received their ballots.

According to the EC, 425,788 voters have already completed voting, with 370,322 ballots deposited at post offices or designated mailboxes in different countries.

A total of 1,533,000 voters, including government employees, prisoners, law enforcement officers, and expatriates, are registered to vote via postal ballots in the election scheduled for February 12. All ballots must reach the returning officer by 4:30 pm on election day, the EC said.
