Feni, Jan 30 (V7N) — Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman is scheduled to address the Feni district election rally today. He is expected to deliver his speech after 10:00 am.

The rally is being held at the Feni Government Pilot High School ground, where leaders and activists began gathering from early morning. The rally formally started at 8:00 am, with Feni district Jamaat Ameer Mufti Abdul Hannan delivering the inaugural speech.

Leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its 11-party alliance joined the rally in processions from different parts of the district. By the time the rally began, the Pilot High School ground was filled to capacity.

Local Jamaat leaders said they believe that the presence of the Jamaat Ameer at the rally will boost the morale and strength of Jamaat and alliance candidates ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary elections.

After Dr. Shafiqur Rahman’s address, speeches are expected from Jamaat Nayeb Ameer Dr. Abdullah Mohammad Taher, Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Vice President Sadiq Kayem, National Citizens Party (NCP) Southern Region Chief Organizer Hasnat Abdullah, and other senior leaders of the 11-party alliance.
