Noakhali, Jan 30 (V7N) — Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has pledged to fulfill the long-standing demands of the people of Noakhali if his party comes to power. He emphasized that the people want a division and a city corporation, and promised to implement these vital demands in stages with fairness.
Dr. Shafiqur Rahman made the remarks while speaking as the chief guest at an election rally organized by the 11-party alliance at the Noakhali District School Ground on Friday (January 30).
He highlighted six key development projects, including measures to prevent river erosion along the Hatia-Companiganj-Subarnachar rivers, construction of closures on the Companiganj-Chhot Feni rivers, and the expansion of the railway line from Sonapur to Hatia Chairman Ghat.
Recalling the plight of a Subarnachar woman persecuted in the previous election, he assured, “If elected, we will establish a municipality there in her honor.”
