Rangpur, Feb 12 (V7N) — Akhtar Hossain Shapla Kali, Member Secretary of the National Citizens Party (NCP) and official candidate of the 11-party alliance, has won the Rangpur-4 (Pirgachha-Kaunia) constituency in the 13th National Parliament Election.

According to unofficial results, he secured 147,947 votes under the ‘Kali’ symbol.

His closest rival, Emdadul Haque Bhorsa, former district president of the BNP, received 138,944 votes under the ‘Rice Sheaf’ symbol.

The final official results are expected to be announced by the Returning Officer.
