Dhaka, Mar 01 (V7N) – Shafiqur Rahman, the Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami, has called on the United States, Israel, and Iran to immediately halt military actions and exercise maximum restraint in the wake of rising tensions following the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In a statement posted on his verified Facebook page Sunday afternoon, Shafiqur Rahman expressed deep condolences to the Iranian people and emphasized the grave risks the ongoing conflict poses to regional stability.

He warned, “The current instability in the Middle East has already put regional stability at extreme risk. Any escalation, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, could create deep anger and anxiety globally and threaten world peace.”

Shafiqur Rahman urged all parties to prioritize diplomatic solutions, respect international law, state sovereignty, and the protection of civilians. He also called upon the United Nations and world leaders to take effective action to prevent further escalation.

The Jamaat-e-Islami Amir’s statement highlights the concern of regional political and religious leaders over the intensifying military actions and their potential consequences for global security.
