Nov 11, V7N-Florida head coach Todd Golden will coach the Gators' men's basketball team in Monday night's game against Grambling State, despite being under investigation by the university for alleged sexual harassment, stalking, and other misconduct. A school spokesperson confirmed there has been no change to Golden's employment status, and he will be leading the team.

Golden acknowledged the ongoing investigation in a statement, sharing that he has been in communication with his attorney and is considering filing a defamation lawsuit. He emphasized that he has respected the confidentiality of the inquiry and is confident that the university will complete its review soon.

The investigation stems from Title IX documents, dated Sept. 27, that detail accusations against Golden, including claims of sexual exploitation, harassment, and stalking of students over the past year. The allegations involve Golden sending explicit photos and videos to women, making sexual advances through social media, and following women to locations where he could find them. Several women who spoke with *The Alligator*, the student publication, corroborated these allegations, noting that Golden used manipulation tactics, including sending similar messages to multiple women.

Golden, 39, has been Florida's head coach since March 2022, after a successful tenure at San Francisco. In his second season with the Gators, he led the team to 24 wins and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Golden signed a contract extension through the 2029-30 season last year.

The Gators are currently 2-0 on the season, and Golden is married with two young children.
