SYDNEY, Nov 15 V7N- Sri Lankan former Test cricketer Dulip Samaraweera has been handed an additional 10-year ban by Cricket Australia's Conduct Commission for alleged inappropriate behavior, to run concurrently with a 20-year suspension already imposed in September. Samaraweera, 52, who played seven Tests and five ODIs in the 1990s, was briefly the head coach of Victoria's state women’s team before allegations of misconduct led to his dismissal.

The latest allegations stem from private coaching sessions conducted outside his Cricket Victoria role. While Samaraweera denied the accusations, he declined to participate in the investigation or subsequent hearings. Cricket Australia did not provide further details about the new claims.

The initial 20-year ban was imposed following allegations of inappropriate behavior toward a woman player during his tenure with Cricket Victoria. Cricket Australia reiterated its commitment to upholding professional standards and maintaining a safe environment in the sport.
