Dhaka, June 23 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 16-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, with Mehedi Hasan Miraj named as captain. The squad, revealed on Monday (June 23), marks the return of Liton Das, Nayeem Sheikh, and Shamim Hossain to the national team.

Right-handed opener Nayeem Sheikh has been recalled to the ODI setup after two years, thanks to his impressive performances in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) and Dhaka Premier League (DPL).

The ODI series will kick off on July 2, with the first two matches scheduled at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The series will conclude with the third ODI at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

Before the ODI series begins, Bangladesh will play the second and final Test of the bilateral series against Sri Lanka starting June 25 at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground in Colombo.
