Dhaka, Nov 19 (V7N) — Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat in the second and final Test against Ireland at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, where Mushfiqur Rahim is playing the landmark 100th Test of his career.
Before the start of play, the BCB organized a special ten-minute ceremony to honor Mushfiqur’s historic achievement — making him the first Bangladeshi cricketer to reach 100 Test appearances.
Batting first, the Tigers made a solid start with openers Shadman Islam and Mahmudul Hasan Joy. The pair looked comfortable at the crease until Shadman fell for 52 runs, giving Bangladesh their first setback of the innings.
Bangladesh made two changes to their XI for this match:

Ebadat Hossain and Khaled Ahmed replaced Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana.
For Ireland, leg-spinner Gavin Hoyer made his Test debut.
