LOS ANGELES, Feb 23,  (V7N) — The Oklahoma City Thunder put on a dazzling shooting performance, drilling 21 three-pointers in a 121-113 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday, snapping Cleveland’s seven-game NBA winning streak.

Despite missing key players, including injured starters Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams, as well as Ajay Mitchell and Alex Caruso, the Thunder improved their Western Conference-leading record to 44-14. Isaiah Joe led the charge with 22 points, while Cason Wallace added 20 points and 10 assists, stepping up in the absence of the team’s star players.

"It's a lot of fun just getting the ball rolling," Wallace said. "Early game, so we tried to get our legs into it right from the jump. I feel like we came out and we had a little bit of momentum early in the game."

Oklahoma City started the game on fire, scoring the first nine points and leading by as many as 23 in the opening quarter. Despite Cleveland battling back and taking the lead in the third, the Thunder remained composed and carried a lead into the fourth quarter, where they held off the Cavs’ attempts to reclaim it.

"We had great energy, threw the first punch in the game, which was important against a team that has played as well as they have lately and has as much firepower as they do," said Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault. "To grab the game the way we did early was key."

Seven Thunder players scored in double figures, with Chet Holmgren contributing a double-double of 17 points and 15 rebounds.

For the Cavaliers, James Harden and Donovan Mitchell both scored 20 points, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Oklahoma City’s offensive barrage. Harden, who was acquired by Cleveland from the Los Angeles Clippers on February 4, suffered his first defeat after winning his first six games with the Cavs.
