Dhaka, Feb 23 (V7N) - Prime Minister Tarique Rahman marked a significant milestone on Monday by attending his office at the Armed Forces Division in Dhaka Cantonment for the first time. The Prime Minister arrived at 9 AM, where he was warmly welcomed by the chiefs of the three services, as confirmed by his Additional Press Secretary, Atikur Rahman Rumon.

After exchanging greetings with the military leaders, Tarique Rahman proceeded with his scheduled engagements for the day. One of the key moments during the visit was when the Prime Minister adorned Lieutenant General Mir Mushfiqur Rahman and Major General Kaiser Rashid Chowdhury with their new rank badges.

Present at the ceremony were several senior officials, including Prime Minister’s Defence Adviser Brigadier General (retd) AKM Shamsul Islam, Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hassan, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, Defence Secretary Md Ashraf Uddin, Press Secretary Saleh Shibly, and Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.

This visit follows a major reshuffle in the Bangladesh Army, with significant personnel changes aimed at strengthening national security and enhancing operational efficiency.
