Dhaka, Mar 23 (V7N) – The stage is set for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League, scheduled to begin on March 26, with several Bangladeshi cricketers heading to Pakistan to take part in the tournament.

On Monday morning, Mustafizur Rahman, Shariful Islam, Nahid Rana, and Parvez Hossain Emon departed the country on the same flight for Pakistan.

In addition, Rishad Hossain and Tanjid Hasan Tamim have also been selected to participate in the tournament.

According to team allocations, Shariful Islam, Tanjid Hasan Tamim, and Nahid Rana are expected to represent Peshawar Zalmi. Meanwhile, Mustafizur Rahman and Parvez Hossain Emon will play for Lahore Qalandars, while Rishad Hossain is set to join Peshawar Zalmi’s rivals, Rawalpindi franchise.

The six Bangladeshi cricketers have been granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to participate in the PSL until April 12. They are expected to return home afterward to join the national squad ahead of an upcoming home series against New Zealand national cricket team.

The visiting Blackcaps are scheduled to tour Bangladesh in the second week of April for a series comprising three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 (T20) matches.

The participation of Bangladeshi players in the PSL is expected to enhance their exposure to international franchise cricket while contributing to the competitive nature of the tournament.
