Dhaka, Apr 23 (V7N) — Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided not to grant No Objection Certificates (NOC) to pacers Mustafizur Rahman and Nahid Rana for the remainder of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), citing fitness and national duty considerations.
Mustafizur ruled out of PSL return
Mustafizur Rahman, who recently returned to action and took five wickets in the final ODI against New Zealand, will not continue in the PSL due to injury concerns.
The BCB medical unit has assessed his condition and will conduct a scan before placing him under rehabilitation supervision.
Nahid Rana also denied clearance
Nahid Rana has also been withheld from PSL participation. The board said the decision was made to ensure proper preparation ahead of Bangladesh’s upcoming Test series against Pakistan.
Medical and national focus
BCB officials stated that both players are being managed carefully to avoid long-term injury risks and to maintain their availability for international fixtures.
The decision reflects the board’s priority on player fitness and national team commitments over franchise league participation.
