Dhaka, May 08 (V7N) — Bangladesh national cricket team will bat first after losing the toss against Pakistan national cricket team in the opening Test of the series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.

Despite several days of rain in Dhaka, conditions were bright and sunny on Friday (May 8), while the Mirpur pitch appeared heavily covered with grass ahead of the match.

The grassy wicket is expected to provide extra assistance to the fast bowlers, raising expectations for Bangladesh pacer Nahid Rana, who was seen warming up extensively before the toss.

Bangladesh have opted for a balanced bowling attack featuring three pacers and two spinners.
