Narsingdi, Sep 15 (V7N) – Special Olympics Bangladesh organized a "Family Health Forum" training session in Narsingdi on September 14, aimed at parents of children with intellectual disabilities. The training, held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., was attended by 50 mothers of special needs children.
 
The event took place at the conference room of the Narsingdi Civil Surgeon’s Office. Key discussions included diabetes management, led by Dr. Md. Abu Kausar Suman, Acting Civil Surgeon and Health and Family Planning Officer of Sadar Upazila. Dr. Sanjoy Kumar Saha, Medical Officer and Pediatric Specialist, spoke on the importance of balanced nutrition. Farhana Afrin, Chief Psychologist at Proyash, addressed mental health issues in children, while Mortuza Iqbal Nuri, a coach from the Bangladesh Athletic Federation, discussed physical fitness for individuals with disabilities.
 
Arindam Pande, Project Coordinator for Special Olympics Bangladesh, welcomed the participants. The session was facilitated by Md. Jasim Uddin Sarker, Principal of the Narsingdi District Administration School for Intellectually Disabled and Autistic Children.
