Dhaka, Nov 20 (V7N) — Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay will arrive in Dhaka on Saturday (November 22) for a three-day visit, during which three agreements and a memorandum of understanding (MoU) are expected to be signed between the two countries.

Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam said that Dhaka and Thimphu have agreed to explore hydropower imports from Bhutan, though India has not yet given its no-objection. Discussions on this matter are expected during the visit. Additionally, Bangladesh will propose maintaining or reducing the travel tax for its citizens visiting Bhutan.

On the first day of the visit, the Bhutanese Prime Minister will hold a formal bilateral meeting with Principal Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus. Cooperation in trade, investment, communication, education, tourism, culture, and sports is expected to be discussed.

During the visit, Foreign Advisor Md. Towhid Hossain and other government advisors will pay courtesy calls on the Bhutanese Prime Minister. Tshering Tobgay will leave Dhaka on November 24 at the conclusion of the visit.
