New Delhi, May 06 (V7N) — India’s opposition leader Rahul Gandhi has accused members of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of winning parliamentary seats through alleged “vote theft.”

In a post on social media platform X on Wednesday, Gandhi claimed that nearly one in six of the BJP’s 240 Members of Parliament in the Lok Sabha secured victory through manipulation of votes.

He further questioned whether such MPs could be termed “infiltrators,” using language he attributed to the ruling party’s own rhetoric. Extending his criticism, Gandhi also described the current government in Haryana as “infiltrators.”

The Congress leader alleged that voter lists are being manipulated and that institutions responsible for conducting elections are being influenced and controlled indirectly. According to him, this interference undermines the integrity of the electoral process.

Gandhi also argued that the ruling party fears a fair and impartial election, claiming that under such conditions, the BJP would not have secured more than 140 seats independently.

There has been no immediate response from the BJP regarding these allegations.
