Eid-ul-Fitr, one of the most significant festivals in the Islamic calendar, is being celebrated with fervor and joy in numerous countries worldwide on Wednesday (April 10). From Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to Southeast Asia and beyond, Muslims are engaging in Eid prayers and festivities with enthusiasm.

In the Middle East, including Malaysia, Qatar, Egypt, Kuwait, Bahrain, Yemen, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, and Palestine, Eid celebrations are in full swing alongside Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Contrary to last year, Oman joins Saudi Arabia in celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr on the same day this year. Muslims in North Africa, including Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, and Sudan, are also commemorating Eid today.

Australia takes the lead globally in announcing Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations on Wednesday. The United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Turkey, and Iran, along with various countries across Europe and America, are set to mark Eid on Wednesday as well.

In India, the sighting of the Shawwal moon in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Kerala has prompted Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations on Wednesday. However, in areas where the moon wasn't sighted, including Delhi, Eid will be observed on Thursday.

Similarly, in Pakistan, the Shawwal moon sighting on Tuesday heralds Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations on Wednesday, as worshippers gather to mark the occasion across the country.

However, the moon sighting remained elusive in Bangladesh, where worshippers will observe 30 fasts this year. Despite regional variations, Eid-ul-Fitr unites Muslims worldwide in celebration and gratitude.
