Tehran, Jul 16 (V7N) — Iran has claimed to have carried out fresh attacks on U.S. military installations in Kuwait and Bahrain as part of the tenth phase of its retaliatory campaign, "Operation Lightning."
According to a report by Al Jazeera, the Iranian military said the strikes were launched only hours earlier.
In a statement carried by Iranian state media, the military claimed that the operation targeted U.S. radar systems, Patriot air defense batteries and fuel storage facilities at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.
Iran also claimed that, in a separate operation, drones struck communications systems, radar installations, Super Hawk radar units and Patriot missile systems used by U.S. forces at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain.
Earlier, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also announced attacks on military facilities in Kuwait, claiming that the strikes targeted U.S. C-RAM early warning radar systems and assembly areas at Ali Al Salem Air Base.
The claims have not been independently verified, and there has been no immediate confirmation or response from the United States, Kuwait, or Bahrain regarding the reported attacks.
