The bodies of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and others who perished in the recent helicopter crash have been recovered and transported to Tabriz. The rescue operation has officially concluded. President Raisi's funeral is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, in Tabriz.

On Monday, May 20, Tasnim News Agency, affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reported the recovery of the bodies and the upcoming funeral arrangements. Raisi and his companions had traveled to Tabriz the previous day.

Officials in Iran's East Azerbaijan province confirmed that the funeral for President Raisi and his entourage will be held in Tabriz. Before the funeral, the bodies will be kept at a forensic department in the city.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has declared five days of mourning following the tragic deaths of President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdullahian in the helicopter crash.

On Sunday, May 19, the helicopter carrying President Raisi, Foreign Minister Amir-Abdullahian, and the governor of East Azerbaijan crashed in Jolfa, a border area near Azerbaijan. They were returning from the inauguration of a reservoir project in the region.

The nation mourns the loss of its leaders as preparations are made for their final farewell in Tabriz. The incident has drawn condolences and solidarity from around the world, reflecting the significant impact of the tragedy.
