Kuwait City, June 9, 2024 — The Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Kuwait has confiscated 23,000 bottles of counterfeit Zamzam water, along with various equipment used in the production of these fake bottles. This action is part of a broader initiative to ensure consumer safety and eliminate counterfeit products from the market.

In a statement posted on social media platform X, the Ministry detailed the seizure, which took place during a routine inspection of a warehouse. Officials discovered 23,000 fake Zamzam water bottles, each containing 200 ml.

Zamzam water holds profound religious significance for Muslims globally, especially during the Hajj season. Ensuring its authenticity is crucial to maintaining its sacred value and trust among consumers.
