Gaza City, Sep 07 (V7N) — At least 33 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Friday, as the conflict between Israel and Palestinian militants continues to intensify. According to Al Jazeera, Israeli forces targeted the Halimah al-Sadiah school in northern Gaza, where eight Palestinians who were taking shelter in a tent were killed. An additional five individuals lost their lives in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.

In the West Bank, Aysenur Izgi Igi, a 26-year-old Turkish-American human rights activist, was shot and killed by Israeli forces while protesting near Beitah against illegal Israeli settlements, according to eyewitnesses.

In a separate incident, 13-year-old Palestinian boy Bana Amjad Bakr was among those killed last week by Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank, as reported by the Wafa news agency.

The ongoing conflict escalated significantly on October 7 last year when Hamas, the Palestinian independence organization, launched a surprise attack on Israel. In response, Israel initiated a large-scale counter-offensive on Gaza. Over the past 10 months, the conflict has claimed the lives of at least 40,878 Palestinians and left another 94,454 injured.

The violence continues to take a severe toll on civilians, with each passing day adding to the rising death toll. Both sides show little sign of stepping back as the conflict approaches its first year since the Hamas attack on Israeli soil.
