In the distance is the world's tallest mangrove, the Sundarbans. The prospective island's appeal to tourists and the government's revenue both stand to rise if it becomes a globally recognised floating tourist destination. Once the truth was revealed, it became evident that Beribandh Char's unfinished existence had been impacted.
"Mid-range Floating Tourism and Entertainment Centre" is the only authorised non-facility mind-blowing entertainment centre in the South for the adventure-seeking public. An island in the midst of the Union Territory is called Betmore Rajpara in Mathbaria Upazila of Pirojpur. Thus, the term "Char" among the people, according to local belief, originated in the midst of the Baleshwar River, close to the Sundarbans.
This is a about 840-acre char that originated in the 1940s. There were foxes, jackals, snakes, and numerous species of birds living here formerly. When landless people started to dwell in government settlements in 1966, the locals used to leave cows and buffaloes for years. However, everything is progressively going extinct. The upkeep of 6,500 fertile coconut trees is handled by the office of the forest department, in addition to the government forestry.
Travels to the southern districts, such as Jhalokathi, Bagherhat, Barguna and Pirojpur; furthermore, visits to the famous island of Thirsty Baleshwar in the middle of the river, which attracts thousands of visitors from both domestic and international countries every year.
Even though it has been around for over 84 years, there isn't a tourist-friendly business. To prevent flooding, there aren't enough forest protection dams on every side. Thousands of trees were felled and several tiny roads were constructed when the area was first under government control, but they are currently in poor condition. With water dancing on all four sides, the breathtaking Majherchar island has created the appearance of being a popular tourist destination. The play of morning and evening lights and the splash of water, the silver hilsa have enhanced the beauty of the hunting forest.

The prospective island's appeal to tourists and the government's revenue both stand to rise if it becomes a globally recognised floating tourist destination. Once the truth was revealed, it became evident that Beribandh Char's unfinished existence had been impacted. The loss of land and forest area has resulted in the degradation of grazing land. Building a sturdy barrier to encircle the forest has become crucial.
Everybody who has landed here works as a fisherman. In addition to fishing, he engages in some farming. He has chosen the life of the river, scorning the awful game of river water, out of a need to make a livelihood by risking his life. Their life is the river. In the midst of grief and suffering, obtaining citizenship in the nation does not grant access to public benefits. Only fishing in the river and around Char is permitted at the site. It is being cheated of its due since there is no market to sell the meagre number of fish that is the product of the entire day's labour.

In the centre of Char reside about 300 landless households; anxiety and instability are a common presence. The poor fishing village, always battling off natural disasters like Sidor, Ayala, Kalabaisakhi, Cyclones, and Floods, is living a life devoid of humanity.
The people of Jalapalli are being denied the barest necessities, including safe drinking water, access to healthcare, education, and security. The fire department and health centre are absent. In this district, a primary school is comparable to the highest school. In the event of flooding or other natural disasters, there are two tiny cyclone shelters that provide refuge.
In the present globe, the prehistoric era is akin to a foreign planet or nation! It is impossible to remain unsurprised. The majority of Jelepalli people are devoid of sign language skills, while only a few 2/1 have it. Since there is neither secondary school nor college, children of fishermen do not continue their education past the fifth grade.
The people living in Jelepalli are not very health conscious. There is no one to offer guidance to the present age. They think there is no way to alter a fisherman's life in this lifetime. The debt-ridden jele's son is still a jele. The Char Jele clan was oppressed in their own nation and denied civic rights.
To get to Majherchar from Sangrail in Betmore, which is cut off from the mainland, one must travel across the river by boat or trawler. Sultan Chakidar, an 80-year-old resident of Char, stated that between 1966 and 1990, the government gave each landless fishermen 288 acres of land, ranging from 1.5 to 3 acres for 99 years, and in 1976, it turned over 543 acres of land to the forest department.
The days would be bad, said to Sinda Md Hasan, 30, or Majherchar Jelepalleer. Fishing on a river does not sustain a family. There is nobody around to see the misery of a thousand people living in insecurity. When his wife, 56-year-old Hasina Begum, suffered a brain stroke late at night, Jele Md. Hanif Fakir, a resident of Char, grieved that she was unable to receive emergency medical attention. In order to preserve the Char fishing village, he insisted on the building of Beribandh.
The majority of Char's population, according to Imam Md Azadul Islam (30), of Majherchar Mosque, is incarcerated, Voice7 News said. There isn't any transit available. Prayers are not permitted whenever there is a flood that covers the mosque. He insisted that beribandh be built around Char on all four sides.
Herdsman Kamrul Islam stated, "I have come to visit a familiar place in Majherchar with my children." Kamrul Islam visited Majherchar. He insisted that a tourism centre be constructed here by the government. Md. Deloar Hossain, the chairman of Betmore Rajpara UP, said over the phone with Voice7 News, "450 voters in 300 families receive JL card benefits out of a total of 1,100 people." A large number of landless people have been distributed by the influential people To build a tourist center here goes".
The Char dam is undergoing repairs, and the remaining dam will be built gradually, Assistant Commissioner (Lands) Saikat Raihan told Voice7 News. By building a floating tourist centre atmosphere here, it is conceivable to turn this place into a tourist destination.
