Meta removed numerous accounts and pages linked to the Awami League for "coordinated inauthentic behaviour" ahead of the January elections. These actions included accounts posing as opposition supporters to post critical content.

The Awami League web team criticized Meta for not addressing hate speech and disinformation by BNP supporters. Tonmoy Ahmed, the team’s coordinator, highlighted Meta’s failure to act against disinformation targeting Awami League leaders.

The Awami League's Office Secretary, Biplob Barua, denounced the report as politically biased, noting that it did not address foreign accounts spreading misinformation against Bangladesh and Awami League leaders.
