The Road Safety Foundation reported that 262 individuals lost their lives and 543 were injured in 251 road accidents during the 13 days surrounding the Eid-ul-Azha holiday.

From June 11 to June 23, 104 fatalities occurred in 129 motorcycle accidents, constituting 39.69% of the total deaths. The rise in motorcycle-related deaths was 13.31% compared to the previous year. The foundation's report, based on media sources, used the International Road Assessment Program (IRAP) method to estimate a loss of Tk998.55 crore in human resources due to these accidents.
