Oct 18 , V7N- Rafael Nadal will have one final opportunity to face his long-time rival Novak Djokovic before concluding his legendary tennis career. The two icons of the sport are set to meet at the Six Kings Slam exhibition event in Saudi Arabia. Nadal, a 22-time Grand Slam champion, lost to Carlos Alcaraz in the semi-finals, while Djokovic, the 24-time Grand Slam winner, was defeated by Jannik Sinner. This sets up a nostalgic third-place match between the two, marking their 61st encounter on the court.

Reflecting on their rivalry, Nadal expressed excitement about facing Djokovic once again, saying, "To have Novak in front of me, it's like a nostalgic thing." Their head-to-head record stands at 31-29 in favor of Djokovic, with their last meeting being at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where Djokovic won 6-1, 6-4.

Nadal, who recently announced his retirement at 38, hinted that he might still compete in the Davis Cup Final 8 in November, possibly in doubles alongside Alcaraz, depending on his physical condition. He praised Alcaraz for his rapid development and indicated his willingness to support him when needed, acknowledging that the young star is on a strong trajectory in his career.

In the Six Kings Slam final, Alcaraz will face Jannik Sinner, with the winner set to claim a $6 million prize.
