DHAKA, Oct 25, V7N- The much-anticipated election of the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) executive committee is set to take place tomorrow (Saturday) at the Intercontinental Hotel Ballroom in Dhaka. Chief Election Commissioner Mezbah Uddin Ahmed will oversee the voting process, which will run continuously from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The event will be preceded by the BFF's annual general meeting (AGM) at 11 a.m. at the same venue.

Following the announcement of the election schedule on October 7, the election process kicked off with a countdown 20 days ago. A total of 133 delegates are expected to cast their votes to select 21 members for the executive committee, who will lead Bangladesh football for the next four years.

A field of 46 candidates will compete for these positions, with two vying for the role of president, six competing for four vice president posts, and 37 seeking the 15 executive committee member slots. Incumbent Vice President Imrul Hasan has already been elected unopposed as Senior Vice President.

Running for the top position of president are two-time BFF Vice President Tabith Awal and grassroots organizer AFM Mizanur Rahman Chowdhury from Dinajpur. The candidates for vice president include Wahid Uddin Chowdhury, Fahad Mohammad Ahmed Karim, Naser Shahriar Jahedi, Sabbir Ahmed Aref, Syed Rummon Bin Wali Sabbir, and Shafiqul Islam Manik.
