Oct 28, V7N- Carlos Sainz’s victory at the Mexico City Grand Prix was a memorable one, driven by personal motivation and the presence of his family. As he prepares to leave Ferrari for Williams next season, Sainz said he was determined to secure another win with Ferrari, particularly with his family—and his mother, for the first time—in the crowd. This was Sainz’s fourth career win and Ferrari’s first win in Mexico since 1990, making the moment even more historic.

Sainz’s race wasn’t without challenges. Starting on pole, he lost the lead to Max Verstappen on the opening lap but regained it after a safety car on lap six, from where he controlled the rest of the race. Reflecting on the victory, he described it as “one of the best moments” of his career, highlighting the emotional moment during the Spanish anthem on the podium. The hard-fought victory, especially with the initial setback, made the win even more gratifying for him. Sainz's performance not only showcased his skill but added a heartfelt chapter to his final season with Ferrari.
