PARIS,Oct 29, V7N- Frenchman Adrian Mannarino delivered a standout performance on Monday, defeating world number 12 Tommy Paul at the indoor Paris Masters. Mannarino, currently ranked 58th, secured a 6-3, 7-5 victory at the Bercy Arena, advancing to the second round where he will face either Belgium's Zizou Bergs or French veteran Richard Gasquet.
Paul's defeat ended his chances of qualifying for the upcoming end-of-season Masters in Turin. Meanwhile, world number 11 Stefanos Tsitsipas faced a challenging start but managed to overcome Roberto Carballes Baena with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 to progress to the second round. Tsitsipas mentioned that he struggled at first due to an upset stomach but has been successful in reaching the semi-finals in Paris for the past two years.
