Oct 31, V7N-Juventus manager Thiago Motta expressed frustration over his team's costly mistakes in their 2-2 draw with Parma on Wednesday, as the result saw them drop to fourth in Serie A. Juventus once again found themselves in a position of needing to fight back after conceding, a situation reminiscent of their recent 4-4 draw with Inter Milan.

After the match, Motta pointed out the defensive lapses and missed opportunities that hindered his team. “We conceded too many restarts," he told DAZN. "We tried to press high and force errors, but we didn’t succeed. In the defensive phase, we made a lot of mistakes." He also noted that Dusan Vlahovic missed a close-range chance, reflecting issues with finishing that added to Juventus' struggles.

Motta emphasized the need for better balance and control, especially in transitioning play into the opponent's half and finishing with precision. While Kenan Yildiz had a late impact in the draw at Inter, Motta chose to bring him on as a substitute against Parma, where he nearly secured a win in added time. Motta explained to Sky Sports that Yildiz’s style works well in an open game, adding, “Kenan coming on later, with the game more open, is ideal for creating chances, especially against a team that defends deep.”

Motta also praised Timothy Weah, who scored against Inter and put in another strong performance against Parma. However, he stressed that Juventus will need to find consistency on both ends of the pitch to climb back up the standings.
