NOV 09, V7N-Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves will be sidelined until January after undergoing knee surgery, as announced by his Saudi Pro League club, Al-Hilal. The 27-year-old recently traveled to Finland for surgery on his patellar tendon, ruling him out of Portugal’s Nations League matches against Poland on November 15 and Croatia on November 18.

Neves will also miss Al-Hilal's upcoming Asian Champions League Elite matches against Al-Sadd on November 26 and Al Gharafa on December 3, as well as at least three league games. Neves, who joined Al-Hilal from Wolverhampton Wanderers in June 2023, has since been a key player for the Riyadh-based club, helping them secure the Saudi Pro League title last season. Al-Hilal currently lead the Saudi Pro League and are topping the west Asian section in the Asian Champions League Elite's league phase.
