Riyadh, June 28 (V7N) — Portuguese football icon Cristiano Ronaldo may be in his 40s, but his biological age remains in his 20s, according to a Saudi exercise physiology expert who described Ronaldo as a “rare phenomenon” and proposed a scientific study on his extraordinary fitness.

Speaking in an interview with Saudi state television, Dr. Mohammed Ali Al Ahmadi, professor of exercise physiology at Taibah University, said Ronaldo is a “unique model for modern sports science.”

“Cristiano Ronaldo is not just an athlete — he is a case study. His chronological age is in his 40s, but biologically he is in his 20s. As he gets older, he becomes biologically younger,” Dr. Al Ahmadi stated.

The professor highlighted Ronaldo’s exceptional body composition, citing figures that place him at 50% muscle mass and just 7% body fat, levels rarely seen even among elite athletes.

He credited Ronaldo’s strict discipline, scientifically managed nutrition, precise training, and optimized sleep patterns for his sustained peak performance. “There is no room for error in CR7’s life. Everything is controlled with scientific precision,” Dr. Al Ahmadi said.

Dr. Al Ahmadi announced his intention to conduct a detailed scientific study of Ronaldo’s body composition and biological age using anthropometric and international physiological methods. His goal: to publish the findings in a global academic journal under Saudi Arabia’s name, leaving a lasting scientific legacy linked to Ronaldo’s time in the kingdom.

“Ronaldo’s presence in Saudi Arabia is an unforgettable opportunity. The global community is eager for such data, and Saudi Arabia can be a source of it,” he added.

Beyond science, Ronaldo’s influence has been felt off the pitch, with Al Nassr match attendance rising by 20% in Riyadh since his arrival.

Quoting the star himself, Dr. Al Ahmadi concluded: “Ronaldo once said, ‘Don’t think I love going to the gym every day… But I know I have to do it. You don’t have to love exercise, but you have to respect your body and your health.’”
