Dhaka, Sept 11 (V7N) – A special Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight will leave for Nepal on Thursday to bring back members of the Bangladesh national football team stranded in Kathmandu. Airline officials confirmed the development on Wednesday.

Regular flights had been suspended due to ongoing strikes, prompting the government to arrange the special operation. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, with a seating capacity of 162, will depart Dhaka at 10 a.m. on September 12, 2025, and return the same day with the players and other Bangladeshi nationals awaiting repatriation.

Officials said necessary arrangements have been made in coordination with Nepalese authorities to ensure the safe return of the footballers and other passengers.
