Emphasizing Japan's enduring friendship with Bangladesh, the ambassador unveiled plans to bolster the nation's sports sector by dispatching skilled football coaches to Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Prothistan. Additionally, as a tangible symbol of goodwill, Japan generously donated a hundred volleyballs and fifty footballs to Bangladesh.
Minister Hassan, expressing gratitude for Japan's support, highlighted the diverse sporting landscape of Bangladesh, encompassing not only cricket and football but also archery, shooting, hockey, badminton, table tennis, and kabaddi. He revealed intentions to host the Commonwealth Karate Championship in Dhaka, underlining Bangladesh's growing prowess in judo, karate, gymnastics, and volleyball.
Following the discussions, Ambassador Iwama formally presented the volleyballs and footballs to Minister Hassan, solidifying the bond of friendship between the two nations.
