The long-awaited triumph has sparked nationwide celebration, and BNP’s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has also expressed admiration for the team’s achievement. He posted his reaction on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday night.

In his message, Tarique Rahman said the victory serves as a powerful reminder of what Bangladeshis can accomplish through discipline, unity, and belief. He wrote that the early goal by Mohammad Morsalin and the team’s relentless performance have reignited hope in the hearts of millions, signalling a brighter future for the country’s sporting landscape.

He stated that the national footballers continue to inspire the nation’s youth and represent the spirit of Bangladesh’s sporting culture. He envisioned a future where talent is nurtured, dreams are supported, and the country’s flag continues to fly higher on the international stage.

Meanwhile, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir also congratulated the Bangladesh football team and officials for the remarkable win over India.
