Dhaka, Dec 09 (V7N) — Seven Bangladeshi cricketers have been included in the final auction list for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL), while star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been left out. The IPL auction will be held in Abu Dhabi on December 16.

The Bangladeshi players who have made it to the final list are Mustafizur Rahman, Rishad Hossain, Taskin Ahmed, Nahid Rana, Tanzim Hasan Shakib, Shariful Islam and Rakibul Hasan.

A total of 1,355 local and foreign players registered for the auction, from which 350 players were shortlisted. Of them, 240 are Indian players and 110 are overseas cricketers. There are 77 vacant slots available in the auction, including 31 for foreign players.

Base Price of Bangladeshi Players:

  • Mustafizur Rahman: ₹2 crore

  • Rishad Hossain: ₹75 lakh

  • Taskin Ahmed: ₹75 lakh

  • Tanzim Hasan Shakib: ₹75 lakh

  • Nahid Rana: ₹75 lakh

  • Shariful Islam: ₹75 lakh

  • Rakibul Hasan: ₹30 lakh

Mustafizur Rahman is the only Bangladeshi cricketer placed in the highest base price bracket of ₹2 crore. The left-arm pacer represented Delhi Capitals in the previous IPL season.

Among the franchises, Kolkata Knight Riders currently have the highest auction purse, amounting to ₹64.30 crore. The team needs to fill 13 slots, including six overseas players.

This year, the maximum base price in the IPL auction is ₹2 crore, with 40 cricketers listed in this category. Additionally, out of the 240 Indian players, 224 are uncapped, while 14 foreign players are also categorized as uncapped. According to IPL rules, a player is considered uncapped if they have not played international cricket, last played an international match five years ago, or have not held a central contract for five years.
