The two constitutional sections were revised by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) at its Annual General Meeting (AGM), which was held today in a city hotel, with the goal of advancing cricket in the nation. Launched by BCB thanks to the amendment, BCB TV will aid in the promotion of domestic cricket. As per the statement made by BCB CEO Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, the team has revised the constitution to enable them to fund their investments in profitable and risk-free ways to support the development of cricket.

The BCB will be able to buy any of their equipment on their own after the modification, as opposed to previously doing it through a third party. We have made the change in order to expedite our financial operations and in accordance with the legal guidance. As you are aware, before we can conduct any financial transactions, we must comply with Bangladesh Bank regulations. And after the AGM, we revised the articles by taking these things into account,' he declared. Prior to this, BCB president Nazmul Hasan Papon disclosed that the AGM overwhelmingly approved the budget for the current fiscal year, which runs from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.

"The total possible expenditure, including the BPL, was TK 407 crore, while the probable earnings for the year were TK 446 crore." He continued by saying that TK 20 lakh has been set aside for the growth of the Regional Cricket Association and that, absent district cricket matches being held regularly, no district cricket association will receive funding of any kind. It was BCB's second AGM following the current board's election in 2021.
