July 18 (V7N)- In a stunning display of dominance, Paro FC, led by Bangladesh’s star forwards, crushed Footsill AFC 22-0 in the Bhutan Women’s Football League.
Former Bangladesh captain Sabina Khatun was the standout performer, netting an incredible 7 goals to top the scoring charts. The Bangladeshi contingent, including Sabina, Rituparna, Monika, and Sumaiya, collectively scored 19 out of Paro FC’s 22 goals. Rituparna added 6 goals, Sumaiya scored 4, and Monika contributed 2.
Paro FC dominated from the outset, racing to an 11-0 lead by halftime. Footsill AFC’s defense was overwhelmed by the relentless attacks of the Sabina-Rituparna duo and could not mount any effective resistance in the second half. Paro FC maintained their momentum to secure a commanding victory.
Bangladesh’s Sumaiya, who earned the best player award in Paro FC’s previous match, continued to impress, and the best player accolade remains with a Bangladeshi footballer.
This win underscores the growing impact of Bangladeshi talent in regional football leagues and Paro FC’s strong position in the tournament.
