The BFF U-18 Football League kicked off today with Abahani Limited Dhaka and Bashundhara Kings securing victories in their opening matches held at three separate venues in the city.

At the Bashundhara Kings Arena practice ground, Abahani Limited Dhaka emerged victorious against Fortis Football Club with a 2-0 win. Dipu and Yeasin netted the goals for Abahani in the 11th and 63rd minutes, respectively.

The opening ceremony saw the presence of notable figures from the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF), including Vice-President Md. Imrul Hasan, Professional League Management Committee Chairman, General Secretary Imran Hossain Tushar, and member Mohidur Rahman Miraj.

Meanwhile, at the Armed Police Battalion field in Uttara, Bashundhara Kings edged out Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society with a 2-1 victory. Shofiq and Asad scored for the Kings in the 45+3rd and 52nd minutes, respectively, while Delowar managed to score a consolation goal for Rahmatganj in the 90+3rd minute.

In another match held at the Government Physical Education Training Ground in Mohammadpur, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club shared points with Bangladesh Police Football Club, ending their match in a 1-1 draw. Zuhan gave Police FC an early lead in the 17th minute, but Hridoy equalized for Sheikh Jamal in the 78th minute.

The BFF U-18 Football League promises to be an exciting platform for young talents, and today's matches set the stage for a competitive season ahead.
