Google is set to introduce a new smartwatch designed specifically for children aged 7 and above. This smartwatch, equipped with features focused on safety and fun, aims to meet the needs of both parents and children.

The smartwatch includes real-time location tracking, allowing parents to monitor their child's whereabouts. It has a durable build with an OLED display and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, similar to many smartphones. Constructed from stainless steel and recycled plastic, the smartwatch weighs just 28.03 grams, making it an eco-friendly choice.

Key specifications of the smartwatch include 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 processor for efficient multitasking. While it does not support the Google Play Store, it boasts a 328mAh battery with fast charging capabilities. Google claims the watch can charge to 60 percent in 30 minutes and fully charge in 70 minutes.

Connectivity options are robust, featuring LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, and GPS. The smartwatch is also water-resistant, with the ability to withstand depths of up to 50 meters.

Parents can control the smartwatch via the Fitbit app, with the watch storing 24-hour location data to ensure privacy. The smartwatch supports both calls and messaging, and up to 20 contact numbers can be saved. Additional features include 3D games, activity tracking, and fitness goal setting.

To utilize the calling, messaging, and location sharing features, a Fitbit Ace Pass subscription is required. The subscription costs $10 monthly or $120 annually. The smartwatch itself is priced at $223, which is approximately 26,960 Bangladeshi taka. It is available for order on the Google Store and Amazon.
