DHAKA, May 30, 2025 (V7N) – Bangladesh recorded 21 new dengue cases in the past 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
10 patients were admitted in Barishal division,
3 in Chattogram,
3 under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), and
5 under Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC).
With these additions, the total dengue cases this year have reached 4,323, while 23 deaths have been reported so far.
The DGHS statement also said 21 patients recovered and were released from hospitals during the same period.
For comparison, 2024 saw 1,01,214 dengue infections and 575 fatalities, marking one of the worst outbreaks in recent years.
Health authorities continue to urge the public to take preventive measures to control mosquito breeding and protect against dengue infection.
