Tel Aviv, Oct 19 (V7N) — The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have released drone footage that they claim captures the final moments of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar before his death. The footage was part of a statement issued by Israeli authorities, who assert that Sinwar was killed during a military operation targeting a building used by Hamas.

IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari reported that Sinwar had been hiding in a two-story house following an attack on a military structure. “The bombardment destroyed the military building where he sought refuge. We later deployed a drone to survey the area, and the footage we published shows the aftermath,” Hagari explained.

In the footage, the house appears severely damaged, with walls blown away and only part of the roof intact. Dust fills the air, and the remnants of scattered furniture can be seen. A man, allegedly Sinwar, is shown seated on a sofa with visible injuries. His head is slumped forward, and his right hand appears wounded.

The individual in the video is holding a stick with his left hand. As the drone moves closer, the man throws the stick away. According to the IDF, he was wearing a bulletproof vest when found. His face remains partially concealed throughout the footage.

This release follows intensified military operations by Israel, which has vowed to eliminate top Hamas leadership in response to recent hostilities. Hamas has not officially confirmed or commented on the alleged death of Yahya Sinwar.

The video has added further tension amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, raising questions about the potential impact on regional dynamics.
