Bairut, Nov 08 (V7N)- Israel has launched a wave of airstrikes across the Palestinian territory of Gaza and neighboring Lebanon, resulting in significant casualties, according to regional medical sources. In Gaza, more than 50 Palestinians were reported killed in the strikes, with at least 42 fatalities occurring in the northern part of the besieged territory. Meanwhile, in Lebanon, the health ministry reported 53 people killed and 161 others wounded in Israeli attacks within the last 24 hours.

The Gaza health ministry disclosed that the cumulative death toll since the beginning of intensified hostilities in October last year has reached 43,469, with an additional 12,561 Palestinians injured in the prolonged offensive.

In Lebanon, the ongoing Israeli military campaign has led to 3,103 deaths and approximately 14,000 injuries since October of the previous year, according to data from Lebanese health authorities.

The airstrikes come amid escalating tensions in the region, with heavy bombardments affecting both Gaza’s densely populated areas and multiple locations across Lebanon. The international community continues to express concern over the rising civilian casualties and the humanitarian crisis unfolding in these areas.
