Dec 14 (V7N) - Bank of America and Goldman Sachs have announced plans to contribute to President-elect Donald Trump’s upcoming inaugural committees, though the exact amounts remain undecided, according to spokespersons for both institutions.

This move reflects a continued tradition of financial institutions supporting inaugural events, regardless of political affiliation. Bank of America previously contributed $1 million to Trump’s 2017 inaugural fund, matching its contribution to President Joe Biden’s inauguration in 2021. JPMorgan Chase, another significant donor to Trump’s 2017 inauguration with a $500,000 contribution, has not disclosed its current plans.

Inaugural committees are responsible for organizing events such as parades, galas, and opening ceremonies. These contributions do not fund the official swearing-in ceremony, which is managed separately under the oversight of the Federal Election Commission.
