Kiyev, Mar 05 (V7N) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has expressed his desire to resolve his dispute with former U.S. President Donald Trump and work under Trump's strong leadership in the pursuit of long-term peace.

In a social media post, Zelensky described the dispute that arose during a recent meeting with Trump at the White House as "sad," but emphasized that now is the time to set things right. He made it clear that he is ready to work quickly to bring an end to the ongoing war with Russia.

Zelensky highlighted the urgency of the situation, saying, "None of us want war forever." He further emphasized that Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table for peace talks and that the Ukrainian people are the ones who want peace the most in the midst of the ongoing conflict.

The Ukrainian president outlined several steps towards peace, including:

  • Prisoner exchanges
  • Stopping missile and drone attacks
  • Ceasefire in sea areas
  • Halting bombings of energy and civilian installations

He stated that if Russia agrees to these terms, Ukraine is ready to move quickly toward a final agreement.

Zelensky also mentioned that he is open to discussing mineral sharing with the United States and will gladly visit the White House again if invited. He emphasized that Ukraine is still willing to discuss its mineral resources with the U.S. as part of a broader strategic cooperation.

It remains to be seen how Trump will respond to Zelensky’s peace proposal and his comments about the recent visit to the White House.
