Riyad, June 13 (V7N) – Saudi Arabia has strongly protested Israel’s recent airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear and military facilities, describing the attacks as a blatant violation of Iran’s sovereignty and international law.
In an official statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs referred to Iran as a “brotherly country” and called on the United Nations Security Council to take immediate and effective action to halt Israel’s repeated military operations.
The strikes, conducted on Thursday night, targeted multiple locations including Tehran, Iran’s capital. Reports indicate that several civilians have been killed in the attacks.
Following the airstrikes, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei warned Israel of a severe response, vowing that Iran “will definitely respond” to the aggression.
The situation has further escalated tensions in the region, drawing global concern over the potential for wider conflict.
