Gaza City, Sep 05 (V7N) – The Netanyahu administration has claimed that 40 percent of Gaza City is now under Israeli control as the military intensifies operations against Hamas. The Israeli government has said it plans to further expand its offensive under the stated aim of eliminating the independence-seeking group.
Brig. Effie Defrin, an Israeli military spokesperson, stated, “We have captured 40 percent of Gaza City. The operation will be more extensive and intense in the future, as Hamas continues to resist the IDF.”
Meanwhile, Hamas reportedly agreed to release all hostages, but Israel rejected the proposal and added five new conditions, including the disarmament of Hamas and the formation of an administration excluding the group.
The humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to worsen. According to local health authorities, an average of 50 people are dying each day due to ongoing airstrikes and military operations. Injured residents are reportedly struggling to access adequate medical treatment, while thousands have fled their homes in search of safety.
The conflict has drawn international condemnation, yet Israel has pledged to escalate its operations further, aiming to eliminate Hamas entirely.
