Gaza, Oct 2 (V7N) – French politician and Member of the European Parliament Rima Hassan, who joined the Global Sumud Flotilla, has vowed to continue resisting “until the last second” in the struggle for Palestinian independence.

In a statement posted on her X (formerly Twitter) account, Hassan urged that the global economy be brought to a halt and called for mass protests in every country to stop Israel’s military actions.

She also released a video holding a Palestinian flag, demanding an end to what she described as “genocide in Gaza” and condemning Israel’s seizure of the flotilla. Hassan’s ship, part of the aid mission, was attacked and captured by Israeli forces as it approached the Gaza coast.

According to reports, Israel has seized at least eight vessels from the Sumud flotilla, which carried humanitarian aid for Gaza. Among those detained are prominent figures, including climate activist Greta Thunberg and several international human rights advocates.
