Tel Aviv, Oct 25 (V7N) — The Israeli capital was once again rocked by protests as hundreds of people took to the streets on Saturday demanding the return of the bodies of the remaining Israeli hostages held in Gaza.
Demonstrators gathered at Hostage Square in Tel Aviv, holding portraits of the deceased hostages and chanting slogans against the government’s inaction. Families of the victims were among those leading the protest, calling for swift efforts to bring the bodies of 13 remaining hostages back home.
Protesters carried banners and placards urging the authorities to intensify negotiations and prioritize the recovery of the hostages’ remains.
Earlier, Hamas stated that it had no intention of withholding the bodies but cited difficulties in retrieving them due to a shortage of rescue equipment amid ongoing conflict in Gaza.
