Sudan, Nov 02 (V7N) -Widespread bloodshed and violence continue to ravage Al-Fashir, the capital of Sudan’s North Darfur region, as residents flee the city in large numbers amid relentless attacks.

Local sources report that hundreds of people are missing, and fighters from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are wreaking havoc across the city—going door to door, looting homes, and attacking civilians.

Telecommunication lines in the region have been almost completely severed, leaving residents cut off from their families and the outside world. Meanwhile, a blockade on humanitarian aid has worsened the situation, creating a dire shortage of food, water, and medical supplies.

Since the RSF seized control of Al-Fashir last week, the city has descended into chaos, with reports of killings, rapes, and mass looting emerging daily. Witnesses say hundreds of bodies remain scattered in the streets, while more than 62,000 people have been displaced as they seek safety in nearby areas.

Human rights organizations have expressed deep concern over the escalating violence, warning that the situation in Darfur could spiral into one of the worst humanitarian crises in recent years if urgent international action is not taken.
